Pre Session Focus

These two prompts provide a simple focal point to settle attention and reduce mental activity. They are not therapy, but a brief way to arrive more present for your session by allowing yourself to stop, pause and prepare.


Before your session, choose one card and focus on it for a minute or two. Calming your breath, feeling the floor beneath your feet and focusing on your breathing will help you ground yourself in the present moment and clear your mind of any anxious thoughts and predictions that you may be experiencing.

If you notice your attention wandering, gently return it to your breath, the ground beneath your feet and the words on the chosen card.
