Treating Insight as the Beginning of Change

About Me

I am a writer, educator, and creator of the TEA Cosmology. My work brings clarity to complex emotional landscapes and offers tools for navigating them with depth and precision. I teach, write, and develop resources that support personal, relational, and professional growth.

I work with adults who want to take responsibility for the lives they are choosing, but feel blocked, tangled within, or distracted from what is most important. As a transpersonal and integrative counsellor, I use a variety of approaches, depending on the needs of the individual client.

Online sessions are available in the UK, with in-person sessions by prior arrangement in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. International clients are welcome to enquire.

How I Work

This is not open-ended support. We will determine the counselling goals and explore the challenges you are facing to gain the insight and understanding you need to take action, at a pace that suits you.

Professional Background

I have over twelve years’ experience and have worked in one-to-one practice in community and GP settings, provided support and training for qualifying counsellors, and facilitated community wellbeing sessions based on a wide variety of topics in person and online.

My background includes the following:

  • Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Psychology and Consciousness Studies

  • Diploma in Integrative Counselling

  • Degree in Media, Society and Culture

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training

I am a member of:

  • British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

  • Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professionals (ACC)

I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and work in line with professional safeguarding and ethical standards.

When I’m Not Counselling

Outside my counselling practice I like to create contemplative resources and tools. These creative projects grow out of my curiosity and personal spiritual experiences. They focus on understanding where we are, how to navigate our inner landscapes, and make progress while staying connected to what matters. The Stillness Suite is a set for grounding, and The Commitment Deck, is designed to help think through goals and stay the course needed to action them - reaching our goals often takes much longer than we think they will. A ‘Creative Saboteurs’ deck will explore hidden ego traps - and how to avoid them. A developing framework for understanding our energetic, emotional and spiritual landscapes, called TEA (Transformative Evolutionary Architecture), is a bigger project. TEA is rooted in the ecological nature of our psyches and maps the internal terrains. It offers an holistic and non-pathologizing way to gain clarity and confidence. The first of a series of books based on TEA - The Inner Sacred Landscape - will be available soon.
